Personal Triggers

A trigger is something that can cause the paralysis, muscle weakness or mytonia (muscle stiffness or tightness). It can be anything from certain foods to medication or even physical activity such as exercise. They can vary from person to person. Here is a list of my personal triggers.

  • High/low carb intake
  • High/low sodium intake
  • High sugar intake
  • Low levels of potassium
  • Sleeping/Waking
  • Menstral Cycle
  • Extreme heat/cold
  • Changes in the weather/air pressure
  • Stress
  • Exercise/resting afterwards
  • Ignorance
  • Rudeness
  • Competitive Overwatch
  • Certain medications i.e. nighttime cold medicine, gel tablet forms of medication
  • Saline
  • Anesthesia
